July Product Updates

This is our biggest month yet for measurement accuracy. We rebuilt Market Share from the ground up, made competitor masking smarter, gave always-on campaigns a real home in the platform, and cleaned up the language so every screen speaks the same way.

🎯 Market Share, Reimagined: Your Market, Your Rules
Market share only matters if it reflects how you actually define your market. So we fixed that.

We split the calculation into two clear concepts:

  • Market Universe: the addressable market you define - category, channel, retailer, store, product attributes, brands, products. This is your denominator.

  • Share Subject: the entity you're measuring, defaulting to My Company. This is your numerator.

New formula: Market Share % = My Company Sales ÷ Total Market Universe Sales. Narrow the numerator to specific brands or products when you need to, while keeping the full market as your denominator.

The impact:

  • Define your own addressable market and measure your true share within it

  • Market Share finally makes sense on operational dimensions

  • Instantly spot where you're over- or under-performing across the market

🛡️ Smarter Masking: "Rest of Market" Rollup with Minimum-Competition Safeguards

Competitor masking just got cleaner and smarter.

Masked competitors now roll up into a single Rest of Market entry, replacing scattered "Masked Brand" and "Masked Product" lines:

  • Dashboard: one "Rest of Market" box per category instead of one per masked brand

  • Sales Pulse: masked products/brands roll up into a single "Rest of Market" line in Product and Brand dimensions

  • Sales Drivers: competitor nodes appear only as "Rest of Market" aggregates

A minimum-competition safeguard also kicks in: Total Category and Rest of Market KPIs show only when a category has enough real competitive density, either 100% your own products, or a minimum threshold of competitor products. Otherwise, we hide the number with an explanatory tooltip.

The impact:

  • Cleaner competitive reporting with a single, intuitive "Rest of Market" view

  • Stronger, rules-based protection of competitor data

  • Consistent behavior across screens and exports

♾️ Always-On Campaigns in Marketing Impact

Not every campaign ends. Now the platform agrees.

Campaigns can be created and ingested with no end date, reflecting real always-on activations. Wherever an end date was required, it now reads "Always on" (e.g. 01/01/2026 to Always on). Supported across all campaign sources: ETLs, import, and the create-campaign UI.

The impact:

  • Accurately represent always-on campaigns without inventing an arbitrary end date

  • Consistent campaign handling across every ingestion path

🔤 "Orders" Is Now "Baskets": Clearer, More Consistent Language

Small change. Real consistency win.

"Orders" has been renamed to "Baskets" across the platform for consistent terminology and aligned screens. Updated in Dashboard, Sales Pulse (tooltips and exports included), Sales Drivers, and Marketing Impact (toggle, exports, and group views). Customer Intelligence already used "Baskets," so now everything speaks the same language.

The impact:

  • One consistent term for the same concept everywhere

  • Language that matches how CPG teams actually talk about their data
