How is text similarity calculated?

Each product’s title and description compliance gets a similarity score based on how close it is to your reference content. 

Our model checks if each keyword existing in your reference title or description also exists in the eRetailer’s title or description. The algorithm excludes conjunctions, prepositions and pronouns. It also doesn’t consider capitalization or punctuation for more accurate results.
