Why do I see different data in a recent export compared to a previous one?

Differences between exports made at different times may arise from retrospective changes in historical data, affecting both sales and non-sales data such as pageviews and search terms. Although these discrepancies should be relatively small and linked to specific events or activities, reporting any concerns to our Customer Success Team is encouraged.

Common root causes for these differences include:

  1. Past Data Fixes/Patches: Addressing data issues detected through our automated and manual alerts and integrity checks. This can result from incorrect or incomplete sourced data from the retailer's system, delayed sourced data, delayed updates on our platform due to technical issues or maintenance, and internal bug fixes.

  2. Data Enhancements: Changes due to brand and category enhancements/additions and updates to category hierarchies upon client request.

  3. Data Source Migrations and/or Additions of Extra Sales Channels

  4. Website Changes: These might affect the category and product page data and reported product codes.

For further clarification and assistance, please communicate any questions or concerns to our Customer Success Team.
